Abstract
|
|
|
To evaluate the effect of recombinant human granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor (rhGM-CSF) produced by Lucky Biotec (LBD-0.05). we observed the stimulatory effect of rhGM-CSF on human peripheral blood stem cell and bone marrow stem
Additionlly, as as preclinical study, we injected several concentrations of rhGM-CSF to the Sprague-Dawley rat and observed the change or peripheral blood cell count.
@ES The results were as follows;
@EN 1) In peripheral blood stem cell culture, the addition of rhGM-CSF increased CFU-GM to 130%.
2) In bone marrow stem cell culture, the addition of rhGM-CSF increased CFU-GM by five fold from 2 ng/ml
3) In stem cell culture, the stimulatory effect of rhGM-CSF (LBD-005) was not different from that of rhGM-CSF (SCH-39300)
4) Intraperitoneal injection of rhGM-CSF to Sprague-Dawley rat did not change the peripheral blood count.
5) In Sprague-Dawley rat, rhGM-CSF did not show rescue effect for the radiation induced cytopenia
We confirmed that rhGM-CSF (LBD-005) was effective in stimulation of human bone marrow stem cells. The rhGM-CSF (LBD-005) did not increase the peripheral blood cell count in Sprague-Dawley rat and we thought it was probably due to
species-specificity.
